About the Item

Elegant Pair of Art Deco Table lamps With Mythological Eagle Design and Hanging Lampshades, Bronze. France, 1930-1940. Rare find. Gorgeous filigree work at the lampshades. These unique table lamps feature a gorgeous cast and carved brass eagle design. Solid brass and bronze table lamps / desk lamps with mythological bird design. These mythological creatures feauture the body of an eagle figure with open wings, dragon / lion head, tail and claw feet. From the lion or dragon's head brass repoussé conical lampshades with filigree naturalistic and animals motifs are suspended. The eagle figures are richly decorated with exceptional details. The lampshades hang from four small chains and show a very detailed hand-hammered and perforated metalwork with monkeys, angels, foliage details and neoclassical ornamentations. These stunning table lamps have carefully restored preserving their original patina. They will be a great addition displayed on both night stands or on a console table. Newly wired.
