A distinguished pair of gilt bronze table lamps by Marcel Guillemard, the esteemed French bronzier known for his finely cast decorative objects. Dimensions: 22x10x37 cm These sculptural pieces, marked “Marcel Guillemard” and “Bronze” to the reverse, offer both historical significance and decorative versatility. Cast in solid bronze with a warm gilt finish, each lamp features a symmetrical, curvilinear base with circular accents - evocative of neoclassical revival and early Art Deco design. The candle-shaped opaline glass shades diffuse light with a soft, ambient glow. Retaining their original condition, each lamp is fitted with two bayonet sockets, discreetly integrated to preserve the integrity of the design. Authenticated by dual markings to the reverse, these lamps are exemplary of Guillemard’s refined bronze work and are increasingly sought after by collectors of French decorative arts.
