Electrolier Manufacturing Co. (Manufacturer)
This rare and delightful Art Deco chrome plated Cone and Sphere table lamp is without doubt our favourite of all the inter war designs from the always innovative company Electrolier of Montreal Canada. (The Electrolier CSA approval is under the base). Over the years we have had a couple of examples of this lamp with black enamel accents but this is the first red accented we have seen. Its cone shaped shade surmounts an original chrome Canadian 'SS' socket that is mounted to a column of alternating and graduated red enamelled discs and chrome spheres. This column is anchored to its red disc base by four small chrome spheres and in turn this base sits on four chrome pill shaped feet. All chrome is original and shows only minor age wear plus the lamp has been rewired but retains its original chrome plated socket sleeve.
