About the Item

Table lamp designed by Roger Rougier (1926-1993). A vintage sculptural modernist piece, created by the French-Canadian designer Roger Rougier, back in the 1970's. It was designed as a tall blooming tulips petals and crafted with white milky acrylics. It is mount in a rectangular brass base with the plaque reading Rougier. A gorgeous classic piece with great eye appeal and beautiful glow. this piece stand out in any room. This is the variant of the open curved petals (blossoming tulip) instead the fluted closed ones (closed tulip flower). Measures: 647.70 mm by 431.8 mm by 431.8 mm (25.5 of 17 by 17 Inches). Note: Bears the original Rougier metal label at the base. Roger Rougier, was a French furniture designer and decorator, known for his innovative designs that combined traditional craftsmanship with modernist aesthetics. He was born in Paris, France and trained as a cabinetmaker before opening his own workshop in 1950. Rougier's designs were characterized by their clean lines, geometric shapes, and use of high-quality materials. He often incorporated unusual materials such as lacquered wood, glass, and metal into his designs, and his pieces were known for their elegant and sophisticated look. Rougier most famous designs include his "Cabinet for a Lady" and his "Staircase Bookcase," which were both innovative and functional pieces that showcased his unique design style.
