Prod. Seguso 1960s
Seguso is one of the oldest families on the island of Murano dedicated to the art of Venetian Glass, known for producing objects such as vases, bowls, chandeliers and for custom designs. Seguso works have been made for European royal families, the Vatican, hotels and theaters. Seguso glass can be found in the permanent collections of glass and contemporary art museums, including Moma in New York, and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Corning Glass Museum, and the Murano Glass Museum. The earliest official document of the family is kept at the State Archives of Venice and is dated May 3, 1397: in it Filius Segusi is mentioned in connection with the manufacture of Murano glass.
