A striking Swedish Grace table lamp produced by C. G. Hallberg during the 1920s-30s, embodying the refined balance between classical inspiration and the emerging modernism that characterized Scandinavian design of the period. The lamp combines rich ebony-stained wood with pewter, creating a restrained yet luxurious contrast that remains remarkably contemporary nearly a century later. The design is distinguished by its architectural silhouette and sculptural base, which rests upon four stylized lion feet. This decorative motif is closely associated with the work of Anna Petrus, one of Sweden's most celebrated designers of the Swedish Grace era, and appears on several documented objects attributed to her. While the lamp is not currently documented as an Anna Petrus design, the similarities in form and detailing strongly suggest her influence and possibly her authorship.
