Frederick Cooper Faux Malachite Bitossi Lamps, A Pair
Located in Marietta, GA
Love this pair of faux malachite urn lamps, made in Italy!!! I have this exact pair at my home! . The pottery is attributed to Bitossi, and was marketed in the US, by Frederick Cooper, Chicago. The lamps have been updated, with acrylic bases, rewired, and the brass cleaned. They can go with any number of design styles, where a “pop” of rich color is needed. I am not a professional photographer , so please ask a question...

English Pair of Antique Patinated Brass Oil Table Lamps with Hurricane Shades
Located in Shippensburg, PA
On this fine pair of electrified antique table lamps, the brass is patinated to a deep oiled black which is highlighted with a recurring strata of applied natural brass banding encircling the lamps. At the base, each lamp starts out with a brief flat foot which is immediately cut to a concave groove, then to a fillet, and then to an ogee which meets a deep Tenon which rises via a series of steps to the final cove and bead that rest under the lamp arm. It reads like a finely executed wood turning, featuring an extremely complex series of profiles, but uses brass as the medium instead. The shades are frosted with a thick ruffled rim and a banding pattern of clear circles underneath. At the centre bulge of the shades there are encircling flowers, berries and saw-toothed leaves. The finial at the base of the lamp arm is embellished with a flower petal casted inconspicuously, which has a small switch to turn the light on worked skillfully into the existing design, as this was originally an oil lamp that was wired afterwards for electricity. This pair of lamps make a fine set for a hall or console table, as well as a balanced set of accessory lighting to create the layered lighting...
