True Pair of French 19th Century Belle Époque Period Ormolu Candelabra Lamps
About the Item
A striking large scale true pair of French 19th century Louis XVI st. Belle Époque period ormolu candelabra lamps. Each seven arm lamp is raised by an elegant triangular shaped base with concave sides and cut corners displaying superb most decorative scrolled foliate feet flanking finely detailed foliate bands, rosettes and lovely palmettes set on a silvered bronze background. At the center of each lamp is a charming intricately detailed cherub draped in a beautiful wonderfully executed flowing fabric with each holding a fine cornucopia. Above are the seven lightly scrolled branch like arms seemingly growing upwards with exceptional richly chased blooming flowers and leaves leading for remarkable floral candle cups.
