This ceramic table lamp was designed by Einar Johansen and produced by Soholm Stentoj in Denmark in the 1960s. It is made of stoneware. The bottom part of the lamp features a glazed ceramic finish. The lamp has been rewired with switch, new European wiring and plug and has a new socket and shade.
Søholm was founded in 1835, in Rønne, Bornholm which is famous for its pottery and fine ceramics, making it one of the oldest ceramic factories on Bornholm, until its closure in 1996. Danish ceramic artist, Einar Johansen was employed at Søholm from 1958-1966. He designed and created a wide range of stoneware, such as the highly popular “blue series”.
