Vintage Hand Carved Eagle Neoclassical Giltwood Table Lamp.
This hand carved accent lamp with cylindrical base features a large eagle, with head turned to the left and wings spread, perched on a pediment. An inspirational symbol carved in detail and gilt all over. The eagle’s robust wingspan is 16 inches wide. The lamp was handcrafted in Italy, circa 1940 and the gilding is strong.
Condition: Wear due to age and use. Very good working condition. Some wear to surface is noticed (see photos). Retains stamp, “Made in Italy”.
Measurements: H 31” (Including the harp to the finial) H 17” (to the socket).
