Floor Mirror in Walnut Handmade by Boyd & Allister
About the Item
This floor mirror in walnut was originally designed for our youngest daughter’s 11th birthday. The little shelf at the bottom is for her little objects. The organic shape of the sides curve out at the bottom to accommodate the shelf. The edges have a pronounced round-over to relate to the organic shape of the sides. The mirror is 1/4” glass and set into the frame with wooden stops from the back. The ‘feet’ of the mirror are fully rounded and allow it to sit at a gentle angle from the wall. There are two keyhole cuts on either side of the mirror at the top so that the piece can be securely mounted to the wall. Note that the mirror in the photo is 60” tall but could be made taller if desired. Finish is an oil and wax

Boyd & Allister
Boyd & Allister is a custom furniture studio located in Santa Fe, New Mexico. We have been hand making furniture for designers and architects around the country since 2010. We custom make each piece using traditional joinery methods and hand select each piece of wood. We source our wood from small sawyers around the country who bring the same level of care to their craft as we bring to ours. Many of our designs are inspired by mid century masters; timeless with clean lines, allowing the beauty of the wood to shine.
Mirror can also be made in Ash, White Oak and Cherry
Finish is an oil and wax but a durable spray finish is an option for a slight upcharge.
Mirror is intended to rest at an angle on the floor and be secured to the wall at the top. Additional keyhole mounts can be requested for the bottom if the intention is to mount the mirror entirely on the wall.
