A fantastic octagonal mirror which has been custom fashioned with an antique Spanish wooden brazier as the surround, with new mirrored glass in it's center. This wall decoration features a new, circular-shaped mirror at center, within a beautifully rustic and octagonal-shaped wooden "brasero." The brazier (also referred to as a brasero) is an early 20th century heating element from Spain, which once would have been used to heat a home, with a bowl with hot coals held within it's center (where the new mirror is now). The sides of the mirror project out from the wall with carved legs approximately 5.5", giving this piece visual interest when viewed from it's sides. However, should you wish the mirror to be without legs, we are happy to cut those off if that works better for your needs. The wood is rustic and natural with a nice patina and show of use. This beautiful round mirror has been custom fashioned from a Spanish 19th century copper brazier. This Spanish wall decoration features a round copper wrapped (over wood) "brasero" which is elaborately adorn throughout its front facade in nail head trim, which has a new, circular-shaped mirror set into its molded wood frame center. Italian 18th century Rococo archtop painted and gilded mirror. The frame is decorated with gold leaf c-scroll leaves and urns with a shell sculpted and carved molding. It has marbleized painted inlay with muted colors of blue, green, and gray with wine veining creating a marble effect. The mirror is richly decorated with carved wood elements and a coordinating trim. These frame the central shelf corner of the carved urns which signify the possible use of an over mantel for a large room with high ceilings. The mirror has the original mercury mirror and is distressed due to age. The back of the mirror is also original. This mirror was created in Italy during the Rococo era of the 18th century.
