20th Century Italian Sterling Silver Baroque Style Table Mirror

About the Item

Impressive table mirror in sterling silver completely handmade in the Baroque style. The embossed workmanship is exceptional for its craftsmanship, precision and elegance. In the upper part, between the scrolls and the flowers, the classic Baroque shell has been embossed. In the extreme upper edge it is embossed and chiseled in depth to allow it to be hung on the wall without using inelegant hooks. The back has a green velvet support to be placed on the table. Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war. A great many high-quality silverware was born where exceptional pieces were produced that now decorate the most prestigious houses.

  • Late 19th or Early 20th Century Chinese or Chinoiserie Gilt Ormolu Table Mirror
    Located in Lisse, NL
Highly decorative and rare table mirror with classical Chinese decor. In all our years in this trade we never came accross an antique, Chinese table mirror. Since we cannot find another one anywhere in the world, we have nothing to compare it to. Apart from practical to use, this extremely decorative antique table mirror has many more Chinese style elements that make it a true pleasure to own and look at. Displayed on a sidetable, dresser or vanity this handcrafted, antique talking...
