An Italian neoclassical carved and giltwood mirror from the 18th century. This antique mirror from Italy features a richly carved giltwood surround, in typical neoclassical style, adorn with a raised urn crest at top center of frame, with various foliage and textured surround throughout the frame. Each bottom corner is emphasized, with exaggerated carvings extending out and downward. Delicate ribbon trimming lines the inner surround. This giltwood wall decoration has a fabulous, aged patina throughout. This 18th century Italian Neoclassical mirror would look quite decorating a mantel, bedroom, or entry hall.
