About the Item

18th century mirror south Germany limewood carved polychrome painted The mirror is carved out of limewood and painted with polychrome colors, which is in an untouched condition as well as the original mirror glass. The independent development of the Bayreuth Rococo, which emerged under Margravine Wilhelmine, which was a sister of Frriedrich the Great in the years 1740-1760 in Bayreuth. Typical elements are delicate stucco ornaments, the largest of which belong to Giovanni Battista Pedrozzi. Most accidentally sawed this style change in the new palace of the Hermitage, its interiors unfortunately belonged during the war. Apartments in the New Bayreuth Palace, the Old Hermitage Palace and the Bayreuth Palace Church have been preserved.
