19th Century Gold French Perspective Mirror
About the Item
A wonderfully proportioned, deep frame perspective mirror, made in France in the early 1800s, the mirror is wood and gilt gesso. The design is in the 'travail de brique' manner and gives the frame and bevelled foxed plate a charming and engaging aesthetic Historical losses to the gilt and gesso with age as expected.
