About the Item
An elegant Murano glass mirror, handcrafted in Venice, Italy, from the 1940s to 1950s or earlier. This intricately decorated mirror with a curved rim is richly adorned with applied floral and flowing motifs in mouth-blown glass. The individually applied blossoms testify to the refined artistry and craftsmanship long associated with Murano glassmaking.
The central mirror panel is in very good condition, with just a view distressed spots, with no chips, no cracks or repairs.
This piece was acquired at an estate sale in Parma, Italy, further emphasizing its European origin. Both decorative and functional, it is an outstanding example of early 20th-century Venetian design, bringing elegance, light, and timeless Italian glamour to any interior. It would certainly look stunning above a console table in a dressing room, a living or a girl's bedroom.
