Italian 17th Century Sicilian Mecca and Polychrome Oval Mirror circa 1650
About the Item
A most impressive Italian 17th century Sicilian Mecca and polychrome oval mirror circa 1650. The original mirror plate is framed within an oval mottled warm polychrome and Mecca border. The unique and extremely decorative frame displays striking scrolls and finely caved flowers. Above elaborate movements is a richly carved mask with a beautiful seashell top crown. All original Mecca and polychrome finish throughout.
