About the Item
An Italian carved circular parcel-gilt and painted mirror from the late 19th century, with ribbon motif. Created in Italy during the last quarter of the 19th century, this mirror features a cream colored reeded frame highlighted with gilt motifs and carved with a delicate ribbon. The central mirror plate that shows signs of aging in a particular section, is surrounded by a thin carved molding. With its nice proportions and contrasting colors, this Italian round mirror circa 1880 will bring an undeniable touch of elegance to any home, perhaps hung above a credenza, enfilade or console table.
