An Italian 19th Century Gilt Wood Mirror with Ornate Foliage Decor, Gold Color

About the Item

An exquisite Italian carved and gilded mirror from the 19th century. This ornate mirror features an intricately carved crest and a decor of rinceaux (foliage) in its frame. This mirror is a nice warm gold tone, with some deep red undertones throughout. This piece would look perfect above a vanity in a bathroom or perhaps adorning a hallway. Rectangular in shape, the central glass is surrounded by a carved molding and beveled sides, giving it depth and elegance. The corners are marked with a foliage depiction, making the transition from the center panel to the outer sides of the frame.
