Late 19th Century French Louis XVI Style Giltwood Mirror

This late nineteenth century hand carved giltwood mirror is a quintessential example of the Louis XVI style. Its 59.5-inch high frame features classic Louis XVI motifs of rais-de-coeur, beading, and corner rosettes. A delicately hand carved wreath of roses tied with a ribbon adorns the crown. Found in the city of Chartres, France, this finely detailed mirror boasts its original beveled mercury glass, circa 1870.
