Louis XV 1760s Painted, Gilt and Carved Accent Mirror w/ Grisaille Harbor Scene

About the Item

A French Louis XV period painted and gilded mirror from the mid 18th century, with carved crest, petite tassels and grisaille harbor scene. Created in France during the reign of King Louis XV nicknamed Le Bien-Aimé (the Beloved), this wall mirror captures our attention with its carved ribbon-tied crest showcasing an oval medallion surrounding a peaceful grisaille harbor scene.
