About the Item

OKO is something more than just a mirror. It is one of the most perfect and simplest objects from Zieta’s mirrors collection. It is unique formally and technologically. Its ideally round, lustrous surface delicately reflects and diffuses light interacting with other objects and creating artistic effects in the interior OKO mirror is made of stainless polished steel. Its smooth but creased surface diffuses the surrounding reality and reveals psycho-perceptual phenomena of the material. The world seen by OKO is a world of expressive deformations from another side of a sphere: uneasy, but also romantic in a way. OKO is available in six sizes: 36 cm, 62 cm, 75 cm, 95 cm, 120 cm and 150 cm in diameter, as well as in a wide range of finishes. About the artist/ designer: Oskar Zieta, an architect, designer, artist and innovator. Born in 1975, after he graduated architecture at Szczecin University of Technology in 2000, he has got a scholarship at ETH Zurich. Over the course of 2 years of postgraduate studies he developed skills in parametric design and modern manufacturing technologies finalized with PhD graduation. Currently he runs the department of Industrial Design at School of Form. Laureate of many prestigious awards in design and technology. Inventor of FiDU - inner pressure metal forming technology - the keystone to Zieta Collection, Zieta Out of Ordinary as well as large scale sculptures like NAWA on Daliowa Island in Wroclaw and WIR in Galeria Pólnocna in Wroclaw. Oskar Zieta is a CEO of Zieta Studio established in 2010 in Wroclaw. The company is an interdisciplinary team of architects, designers, engineers and technologists as well as production line and Industrial implementation workers. Specialists in many fields are permanent collaborators of Zieta Studio - psychologists, biologists, scientists and many others.
