Tafla O series is characterized by smooth, optically light shapes inspired by liquid droplets and thanks to its unique form, combines the world of design, art and technology. TAFLA collection is a radical step towards such transformations. Mirrors made with FiDU technology are a result of free deformation caused by high internal pressure. This process creates objects of great durability yet of subtle structure. Colorization of smooth surfaces is not an easy task. Research on dying techniques and selecting proper materials took long months. Numerous trials and tests resulted in mastering a formula of proper saturation, adhesion and durability. Special painting technique allows to apply a proper coat and create a colorful gradient. Available in emerald color, sapphire color, gradient of emerald and sapphire color, dark matter color, Rubin red color and deep space blue color. About the artist/ designer: Oskar Zieta, an architect, designer, artist and innovator. Born in 1975, after he graduated architecture at Szczecin University of Technology in 2000, he has got a scholarship at ETH Zurich. Over the course of 2 years of postgraduate studies he developed skills in parametric design and modern manufacturing technologies finalized with PhD graduation. Currently he runs the department of Industrial Design at School of Form. Laureate of many prestigious awards in design and technology. Inventor of FiDU - inner pressure metal forming technology - the keystone to Zieta Collection, Zieta Out of Ordinary as well as large scale sculptures like NAWA on Daliowa Island in Wroclaw and WIR in Galeria Pólnocna in Wroclaw. Oskar Zieta is a CEO of Zieta Studio established in 2010 in Wroclaw. The company is an interdisciplinary team of architects, designers, engineers and technologists as well as production line and Industrial implementation workers. Specialists in many fields are permanent collaborators of Zieta Studio - psychologists, biologists, scientists and many others. FiDU Innovation Lab develops its own, innovative technologies of stabilizing sheet metal, i.e. FiDU and 3+ and their application to modern architecture, engineering and design.
