This stunning vintage round mirror if exquisitely framed in the most amazing rosewood grain. Made in Sweden in the 1960s this is fantastic piece for an entrance way or dining room.
Measures: 57 cm in diameter.
Frame is in excellent conditions with one slight imperfection in the rim on the right side with a vintage glass mirror.
Swedish designers and brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson, known for their lighting and mirror designs, were particularly active from the 1950s to the 1970s in Sweden. They were prolific designers with a clear design aesthetic that is easily recognizable as Scandinavian modern and their designs are appreciated by vintage lovers, and are highly sought-after on the vintage market today.
Luxus was founded by Uno Kristiansson circa 1950 in the city of Vittsjö. Renaming and running his father’s production company Vittsjö Möbelfabrik AB from 1966, it is believed that Uno’s younger brother Östen soon merged the two companies, when it became simply Luxus.
