1960s Auli Heinonen Chamotte Vases for Arabia

An exceptionally organic and naturalistic pair of hand thrown studio vases by Auli Heinonen for Arabia, circa 1960. Stengods or stoneware, they have a very textured chamotte technique employed in their creation. Exciting and warm and cute actually with their turtleneck like collars, one vase being slightly larger, they make a great grouping. Signed in the clay on the bottoms with the artist's AH and Arabia. Great usable scale. Measurements: Larger 6" high/ 6" diameter Smaller 5.25" high/ 5.25" diameter Price is for the pair.
