19th Century Italian Baroque Bedroom Set
About the Item
This exquisite 5-piece bedroom set features a magnificent Super king-size bed with an impressive Renaissance-style headboard and footboard, crafted from beautiful walnut wood. The bed has a fabulous carved putti cherubs to the Headboards.
This Amazing bedroom set also includes other stunning pieces, , a pair of nightstands and Armoire, all with intricate heavily carved details and Putti Cherub lock covers. The set and comes with four drawers for storage, shelving and x2 hanging rail compartments making it both practical and unique.
This original Italian antique set from the late 19th century has well maintained and is sure to add a the WOW factor to any bedroom.
The set is heavily carved with swirls and scrolls and Putti 3d carvings to the central crests.
The Bed is a Grand King Size Bed measuring 200 cm x 216 cm, with an internal dimension of 180cm x 200cm to allow for a EU Super king Size mattress. Could also be used as two single beds, this is a common 19th century design for Italian beds.
The wardrobe dismantles in full for transportation and stands at 285 cm High (Including Putti Crest) x 220 cm x 68 cm. There are internal compartments, one houses shelves and the other two have a clothes hanging rail, there is some slight foxing of the Central Mirror door due to age.
The internal depth is 40-49 cm. There are 3 storage drawers all intricately carved below with Bronze Putti handles and Lock covers.
The bedside cabinets have a drawer and a cupboard area, both have Marble tops. The dimensions are 142 cm height x 42 x 37 cm
Condition Report
The Bedroom is over one hundred years old and is in good order for its age, there are some marks and small losses. Please see images.
Any evidence of furniture beetle has been treated and restored.
