Antique French Louis XV Style Queen Bed from the Belle Époque Period

French Louis XV style bed from the Belle Époque period that has been adapted to fit an American standard queen size box spring and mattress, circa 1880. The bed which was originally in solid carved walnut and walnut veneer has been painted a pale green. Headboard and footboard are connected by steel bolt on bed rails. Box spring is supported by wooden bed slats that are mechanically attached to the side rails and that have been re-enforced in the middle to prevent sagging. Bed is very strong and ridged.

Measures: 60” wide x 80” long x 67” high (headboard) 39” high (footboard).
