Four Poster Bed (Queen) Black Lacquer on Brass Plinth
About the Item
Vintage custom queen size four poster bed after a design by Tommi Parzinger (see last image for an image from a 1950's Good Housekeeping magazine).
Gloss black lacquered wood bed mounted to a 4 inch plinth base clad in polished brass.
Shaped headboard, footboard and side rails with four shaped tapering columns.
Internal mattress dimensions 60" x 83"
Total height from floor to top of solid brass acorn finials is 89 inches.
There is an (optional) shop made platform box deck in black painted plywood that rests on the floor directly inside the frame upon which your queen size mattress sits. See penultimate photo.
