An exceptional Italian 19th century Baroque st. giltwood king sized upholstered head. The headboard is framed within an elegant wrap around mottled border with beautiful richly carved pierced scrolled foliate elements at each side. The striking pierced top crown also displays most elegant scrolled foliate movements and finely detailed blooming flowers and acanthus leaves.
