Italian Early 19th Century Louis XV St. Giltwood Upholstered Headboard
About the Item
A striking Italian early 19th century Louis XV st. giltwood upholstered headboard. The headboard displays an impressive and most decorative carved giltwood top crown. The top crown is centered by a richly carved maiden's face with a beautiful seashell headpiece. Leading out are elegant scrolled movements with a lattice design decorated with finely detailed floral garlands. The headboard can fit up to a king size bed. With all original gilt.
