About the Item
A stunning matching pair of all brass bedsteads originally made for the famous department store of Edinburgh, Charles Jenner. With a charming hoop design this pair of beds has an elegant feel and would grace and bedroom. The beds have their original lacquer, which although has minor imperfections in places, is still in excellent condition considering the age and displays a golden hue.
These beds accept standard UK single size 3'0" wide by 6'3" long bases and mattresses, but they can also accept US twin size 39" wide bases and mattresses. There is also an option to lengthen the beds so they accept 6'6" (or even 80"), which are preferable for adults.
It is possible to join these two beds to form a 6'0 wide (UK Super King or Californian King) bed, and provide mattresses that zip together.
The price includes:
2 x single FIRM BASES (mattress bases) to support the mattresses.
The mattresses, bedding and linen are not included but are available.
