Awesome vintage Mid-Century Modern walnut & cane flip top storage twin headboards, a pair. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, the interior storage space has been painted black to finish it off. But even though the tops have been sanded, there are still some stubborn stains on both tops. And a few minor scratches and nicks on the sides & face. Please see photos, zoom in for details, and see long description as they are part of the condition report. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Mid-20th Century.
Serious question… What are TWINS’ favorite fruit??? PEARS!!! Get it!! LOL… Ok, well, This is a fabulous “pair” of “twin” sized headboards comprised of walnut frames, rectangular natural cane insets, and they have a flip top feature which reveals a totally open interior storage space!!! I mean… That’s a MASSIVE amount of storage!!! Not to mention… a GREAT hiding place!! HaHa!! Just kidding… don’t do that!! The interior of the storage space has been painted black and they are lined with natural cedar… no moths allowed!! We believe this duo was custom made and they are ready to grace your home with their Mid-Century Modern MAGNIFICENCE!!! They would be wonderful together in a bedroom separated with a nightstand between or separate them and use one in one bedroom and one in another, or…set them beside each other, turn the twin mattress sideways OR place one on each end of a twin mattress and you have a unique daybed or chaise! OR, set them side by side and use them as a headboard for your king size bed using a platform frame for the mattress. Versatility Overload!! You could use a Hollywood frame but you would have to raise them as current mattresses are much taller than they used to be!! Slumber in superior STYLE with this unique pair of walnut & cane storage headboards…. Make them YOURS!!!
