Sheraton Tiger Maple Four Poster Bed

Buyer Protection Guaranteed

In the Sheraton manner, a massive New England tiger maple tall post, double-sized bed for two. A fully original antique bed, it would be a travesty to alter the head and foot boards to queen or kingsize. The oversized acorn post top finials are non-detachable, as the bed was never intended for canopy usage. The matching scalloped head and foot boards stand 50 inches high to their complex turned pole stretchers; which attach to the head posts and foot posts. The four bed rails are drilled for roping. (The three black cast iron stationary cross-slats are of course 'later'.) Mattress and box-springs measuring 58" x 70" are accommodated. At a height of about 56 inches, each of the four posts has been cross-cut and screws and bolts have been internally installed to facilitate transport and assembly in period houses.
