About the Item
An abstract hobby horse designed in 1964 by Gloria Caranica for Creative Playthings. Composed of two arched panels of birch plywood divided by a solid birch shaft and topped with a charming red knob. Impressive as both a children's toy and modernist sculpture with its clean lines and graceful form.
Excellent, original condition with only minimal edge wear and light soiling to the orange paint, as shown. Rarely seen in this fine of condition without restoration.
