Vintage children's chair of the Dutch brand Marko 1950's

About the Item

A wonderful example of Dutch industrial design from the 1950s-60s. These striking industrial chair, crafted by the Dutch manufacturer "Marko," feature an elegant V-shaped dark-gray base and swiveling feet, ensuring stability on any surface. The Marko logo is signed on the back, and a unique burned stamp of the municipal coat of arms of Amsterdam can be found on the underside of the seat. The chairs are in good vintage condition. This vintage Marko chair features a sturdy metal frame with a wooden seat and backrest. It shows signs of use, consistent with its age. The MARKO Furniture Company has a storied history dating back to the 1920s. Founded by Martin and Korvin, the company began as a small workshop crafting handmade furniture. Over time, MARKO expanded, embracing innovative technologies and blending traditional craftsmanship with modern design. Their commitment to quality, sustainability, and customer satisfaction has earned them a reputation as a leading furniture manufacturer.
