A two volume set which provides a well documented and detailed review of Danish furniture design in the 20th century, both having a broadly formulated, illustrated part that describes the social and technical conditions for the furniture of the period and a section with plates and working drawings. The main designers covered are Kaare Klint in volume 1 and in volume 2 the period after the Second World War covers the designers, Mogens Koch, Ole Wanscher, Borge Morgensen, Finn Juhl, Hans J. Wegner and Poul Kjaerholm. The text is supplemented with concise biographical information on a large number of danish furniture designers.
Volume 1 - 223 pages.
Volume 2 - 329 pages.
Fully illustrated throughout with design drawings and photographs. The text is in English.
