First edition hardcover with slip case. Italian text. 438 pp. A beautifully designed and photographed Italian book on the history of Italian Empire Style Furniture. It includes furniture from the different kingdoms of Italy; Naples and Sicily, Rome, the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, the Duchy of Lucca, the Lombard Kingdom of Veneto, the Pontifical Legations and the Duchies of Parma and Modena, and the Kingdom of Sardinia. The book compares the construction and style between these kingdoms and their geographical locations.
