About the Item

Hard to find original Walt Disney "Winnie the Pooh" comic strip art (King Features Syndicate), circa 1981. The piece is presented in a black wood frame with white mat. The piece is in good vintage condition with some dings to the fame; it measures 31.25" x 24.25" overall and the comic measures 23" X 16". The Winnie the Pooh comic strip shown in the image is dated July 12, 1981, as indicated by the "7-12" markings in the top corners of the comic. This particular strip, featuring a conversation between Winnie the Pooh and Piglet about meal times, was created by Richard "Sparky" Moore. The comic is a part of the larger Winnie the Pooh franchise, which began with A. A. Milne's books and was later adapted into animated featurettes by Disney, starting with "Winnie the Pooh and the Honey Tree" in 1966. The "Rumbly in My Tumbly" song, referenced in the comic, also originates from the 1966 short film. #4266
