The Son of Perdition by James Gould Cozzens. William Morrow & Company, Inc., New York, NY, 1929. Rare 1st Ed Pre-Publication review copy hardcover, no dust jacket. "A dramatic novel of human character set in a small seaside town in Cuba dominated by American sugar interests." Cozzens, a future Pulitzer Prize-winner, had lived in Cuba for several years after publishing his second novel, "Michael Scarlett," in 1924; his observations and experiences there helped form both this book and the preceding one, "Cock Pit," published in 1928. NPT Books, a division of N. P. Trent Antiques, has a large collection of used and out of print books on art, architecture, decoration and antiques with a focus on 1st editions, signed and limited editions.
