Two catalogues on the furniture of Georgia. 1.) Neat Pieces, The Plain-Style Furniture of 19th Century Georgia. Atlanta: Atlanta Historical Society, 1983. First edition softcover. 204 pp. An exhibition catalogue of 19th century furniture held December 9, 1983 until June 10, 1984 at the Atlanta Historical Society. Along with the furniture the catalogue includes a section on 19th century Georgian furniture makers with photos of their furniture, possessions and the houses they lived in. 2.) Furniture of the Georgia Piedmont Before 1830 by Henry D. Green. An exhibition catalogue of furniture of the Georgia Piedmont held at The High Museum of Art in Atlanta from September 11 until October 31, 1976. Furniture included sideboards, tables, boxes, chests, desks, chairs and beds most of which were made of rich southern pine. The two quintessential books on the Piedmont region furniture and their makers.
