Art Nouveau Lorgnette Opera Glasses Folding Spectacles Antique Austria 1900s
About the Item
A gorgeous old fashioned antique lorgnette with a refined design on the handle. This pair of eyeglasses or opera glasses feature a "folding" frames that overlap one another. The lenses snap open into an eyeglasses shape just pressing a tiny lever on the handle in order to have a pair of spectacles.One of the lenses is no longer there, but this does not detract from the frame, as it will of course be re-glazed to match your prescription. The glasses’ handle ends with a tiny loop so you can wear them on a chain! The measurements given in dimensions section refers to the item in folded condition. When unfolded it is approx. 3 1/2" high, 7" wide and 3/8" deep.

The eye pieces and lenses are encompassed with plain circular frames, conjoined with swept bridges.
