A silver Georg Jensen Design ring by Astrid Fog, Denmark 1971 A Hematite cabochon mounted ring designed by Astrid Fog, surrounded with 10 Hematite cabochon mounted small stones Hematite is a strong grounding, purifying and protective stone. Properties of Hematite is strength, dynamism, endurance. Astrid Fog (1911-1993) was a fashion designer who started designing jewellry to complement her clothes. She created her first jewellery collection for Georg Jensen in 1969 and in the seventies she designed silver spiral pieces for Georg Jensen. She was also associated with the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Company. The ring is very large and is size 18. Measured the height bearing from the finger the height of the ring is 2 cm and 3.5 cm diagonally. The weight is 40 gram The ring has the Hall mark of George Jensen, numbered with 166, 925S Also Dutch Hall marks, ZI = 925/1000 The ring is not boxed in original box.
