About

Chrysocolla Bolo Tie on Selenite. The infinite rhythms of the ocean whisper from studio Greytak’s Chrysocolla Bolo Tie on Selenite. Tropical waves of teal, aqua, and sea blue flow toward a sandy beach in a stunning piece of Chrysocolla. Bamboo coral, colored the red of the Mediterranean variety, and a nurturing disc of mother of pearl bring peace despite turbulent waters. The braided leather cord leads in two directions. On one side, a pair of ammolite stones from the ancient inland sea bring structure and prosperity. On the other, a drop of aquamarine, the sailor’s stone, tops a black onyx pendant bringing protection and the restorative power of night. Below, a base of clear selenite casts a tranquil glow. Named after the Greek lunar goddess, it wraps this watery piece in the purity of moonlight and shields from negative outside influences. The Egyptian queen, Cleopatra, carried Chrysocolla, the stone of communication, with her on all her journeys to calm and soothe violent people she met along the way. A powerful stone for women, and for people who must use their voice, this brilliant blue-green mineral carries the vibration of the earth and the purest energies of love. Bamboo coral grows in the deepest, most mysterious areas of the ocean and can hold the wisdom of millennia. It wraps its wearer in gentle, positive vibrations and helps provide the foundation for emotional healing. Mother of pearl complements the coral’s healing powers with the earth’s most nurturing powers. As light as a feather but as strong as concrete, mother of pearl layers the inner surfaces of mollusk shells and provides a smooth, protective cavity for the fragile creature within. When a tiny organism does get inside the shell, the mother of pearl nacre is directed to the object and grows to surround it, protectively wrapping around and around the object until, after many years, a freestanding pearl is formed. This gem is renowned for bringing prosperity and increased intuition to its owner. When placed on the belly of a newborn, it is said to cast a protective shield for life. Opal-like and iridescent, ammolites were formed when the fossils of ancient cephalopods from prehistoric inland tropical seas, combined with aragonite and turned into gemstones. Reminiscent of the golden spiral, a key part of sacred geometry, ammolites are said to hold the energies and vibrations of the universe. They bring personal awakening, prosperity, and luck. Greeks and Romans said aquamarine came from the treasure chests of mermaids hidden deep in their watery realm. Healers call aquamarine the stone of eternal youth and happiness and use it to help people move through transition and change. It’s gentle, flowing energy cleanses the emotional body and brings clear, calm communication. The midnight color of Black onyx, here representing the darkest depths of the sea, symbolizes the restorative power of night, when the mind and body relax, and spiritual transformation can take root. Once it helps free one from the shackles of self-doubt, no challenge is too great to overcome. Finally, the luminous power of selenite, brings light through the watery depths. Early Greeks believed selenite to be pieces of the moon brought to Earth. Its crystals bring clarity and insight, and relay guiding wisdom from the universe. Selenite helps one overcome feelings of being stuck and allows one to proceed with certainty and focus. Wear this piece to feel the peace and the power of the oceans and to keep negative energy at bay.
