Huge Wooden Trade Sign of Padlock

About

Don't let the scale of this realistic carved wood lock fool you. It's 32 inches tall and could be about 20 lbs. The paint and patina is amazing. I was told that it may be a trade sign but could also be a craft item in either case it looks great. I'm guessing it dates to the 1920s-1940s. The paint on the handle is amazing. The keyhole cover reads. Improved Tumbler Lock with an anchor logo. It make a striking display and has the feel of an Claes Oldenburg sculpture.
