Large Super Deluxe Italian Inlaid Music Box with 32 Note Swiss Reuge Cylinder
About the Item
Offering this rare and vintage large Italian inlaid marquetry music box with gilded metal "claw" feet. This Italian made wooden masterpiece is fitted with a Swiss-made, Reuge 32 note that plays the classic "Music Box Dancer" tune. This inlaid music box opens to reveal a red velvet lined interior with removable tray to house your family baubles. Music Box measures 11.5" by 11.5" in an octagon shape measuring 4" in height. This deluxe music box was obtained from Rosa's Jewelers in Lemoore, CA in the late 1970's and used by my Mother until her death in 1997. You will be hard pressed to find another this size and quality. The condition of this box is excellent with no damage noted and only normal lacquer crazing from age as this box is over 40 years old. No rust or corrosion observed on the metal work or cylinder. Works perfectly with no missing teeth on comb or cylinder.
