About the Item

An 1862, Steinway upright piano for sale with a polished, rosewood case. Exquisite wood grain. Cabinet features two large, openwork panels backed in gold silk. The panels are in a cut-out, arabesque design with central lyre and wreath motif. The scrolling piano cheeks are carved with a hibiscus flower and foliage. The reverse scroll legs have scroll feet and are carved with acanthus leaves. Piano has eighty-five notes and two pedals.
