Model of the Danish Steamer Hjejlen, Black and Red Wood
Model of the Danish steamer Hjejlen, the oldest original coal steamer in the world, still operating from May to September from Silkeborg to Himmelbjerget. Partly painted mahogany planking hull, red hull, black topsides. The steamer was commissioned by a group of citizens and the paper producer Drewsen to transport tourists and in 1932 it was used for postal transport. The engine reaches 40 horsepower and a speed of 8 knots equal to about 15 km/h. Very good condition. Measures: Length 85 cm, width 20 cm, height with base 24 cm.
