About the Item
Good size and great looking Gothic Revival bracket for displaying a saint statuette.
This Gothic console for wall mounting dates from the early 1900s and it has the most timeless design and warm patina. Combined with the perfectly hand carved Gothic elements this truly is a stylish, unique and beautiful to look at church relic. This antique church or monastery wall bracket for sculptures is entirely hand carved out of solid oak and its proportians make it very well balanced and a joy to look at. Apart from a few truly minor imperfections this Gothic antique of well over one hundred years of age could not be in better condition. The hand-carved Gothic church window-like patterns are very 'calm', making this the perfect bracket for a saint sculpture. In image 5 you can even see the original red felt or velvet where the church saint sculpture would have stood. So if you have a beautiful saint sculpture or another work of religious art that deserves to be displayed in the best possible manner then maybe you should be the next custodian of this antique European work of beauty.
