About the Item
Large, unique and matching pair from circa 1900-1910.
If you are a collector of Gothic Revival accessories from houses of prayer then this large and hand-crafted wooden pair could be perfect for you. They will look great on either side of a staircase, a fireplace, a doorway etc. These rare pedestals are both as stable as the day they were made, the wood is still in excellent condition and they come with multiple, hand-carved Gothic style elements. There are some patches where the (original) paint has peeled off, but that is to be expected with these vintage stands and it is also what gives them their character. With a matching pair of candle sticks with burning candles on top they will help create just the right atmoshpere in the place you may have in mind for them.
